Today’s project was inspired by Morgan Harper Nichols book “Peace is a Practice”.
The chapter that I read is titled – Shadow and Light and she talks about how the shadow and light in art make the painting. Make it interesting and create depth. Just how the shadows and light in our lives do the same.
I was really inspired by her words and I’ll share more about what she said and how I translated that for my life and for this piece.
I used this time to take a deep breath and process my own shadow and light. We all have seasons that are hard and some seasons that feel light and easy. Both give us new lessons and opportunities to change and help us grow if we allow it.
As nature begins to change around us, leaves start to fall… we can hold both the shadow and the light.
Enjoy the video .….. if you want extra instructions about how this piece came together you can watch it in the Mixed Media Insider Membership in the free preview section. The doors are open for new members for another week if you like what you see in the free preview.
