I was having one of those days when I just needed a little quiet… and think through things. Have you ever had one of those days?

Some time in my journal just playing always quiets my anxious spirit.

I took some time to sift through my favorite magazine to find inspiration and it’s such an important part of my creative process when I feel unsettled. I was not disappointed by all the inspiration from Bella Grace Magazine.

So I clipped and tore until I knew it was time to put it all together. I felt the spark and joy coming as I pieced those papers together not caring about the outcome… but caring about what was happening inside.

• Collage paper

• Liquitex matte gel

• Golden paynes gray, raw umber
• Liquitex acrylic gouache, cad yellow
• Soho sap green
• Acrylic paint in my bottles – titan buff, tangerine, burnt sienna, cobalt teal, quin magenta, olive green, green gold, unbleached titanium, raw sienna
• Liquitex acrylic ink – carbon black (set)
• Palette knife (set)
• Generals charcoal pencil,
• black soft pastel stick
• 1/2″ flat brush, detailed round brush, makeup sponge
