Today, I’m creating my color and collage challenge. I was able to use almost all collage paper for this journal page.

The palette was bold and full of some of my favorite colors. Since the word for this challenge was healing, I felt called to bring a gentle mood and softness into the journal page, letting it hold the emotions I wanted to express.

There’s always a lot of layers when it comes to healing… and so there are a lot of layers to this page. I’ll share more the video.

Supplies used:

• Handmade art journal
• Collage paper
• Acrylic paint – burnt sienna, quin magenta, titan buff, cad organge, cad red
• Golden Paynes Gray
• Liquitex gesso black and white
• Liquitex fluid matte medium
• Generals charcoal pencil (ex. soft)
• Soft pastel sticks black and brown (Mungyo soft pastels stick set)
• Make up sponge, makeup applicator
