Ever wondered how to use your stencil masks in your mixed media projects?
Today, I’m answering one of my most frequently asked questions: how to use stencil masks in mixed media art. If you’ve been curious about creative ways to use your stencil masks in your work, this video is for you.
I’m sharing some of my favorite techniques—and trust me, there are endless possibilities! Whether you’re just starting out or looking for fresh inspiration, these few things will spark new ideas and encourage you to experiment and play.
I work with simple tools—including my beloved gel plate. Everything I created took about 30 minutes (though you could easily spend hours exploring once you get started!). Fair warning: I had to limit my gel plate time because working with masks on it is seriously addictive.
I also walk you through a quick, impromptu journal page to show you just one of the many ways I incorporate stencil mask images into my art.
I hope you find lots of inspiration! Have fun watching, and always know that you are loved!
