We are accomplishing so much together today. 💛 We’ll start with a flip-through of my journal, looking back at all the creating that unfolded in 2025. This part always makes me a little sentimental—it gently carries me back to the moments, emotions, and quiet stories that found their way onto those pages.
That’s what I love most about art journaling. It becomes a living record of my life—my growth as a human and as an artist. It teaches me things I didn’t even know I needed to learn and gives me a safe place to say the words I’m sometimes afraid to speak out loud.
My word for 2025 was release, and somewhere in the middle of the year, it softened into freedom. Freedom from doubt and control. Freedom to let go of outcomes—in art and in life. I didn’t do it perfectly (whoever does?), but I showed up with intention. I practiced releasing. I practiced trusting. I practiced choosing freedom—to take risks, to travel, and to do things a little differently.
Next, we’ll create the cover and gently say goodbye to 2025—with all of its joys, lessons, sorrows, and hold-your-breath moments. I’ll be using photos from my trip to Italy this year, weaving those memories into the final pages.
And then… we begin again. We’ll create a brand-new journal and get it ready to welcome 2026 with open arms.
So let’s go. 💫
