Today I’m sharing one of my very favorite ways to jumpstart creativity—and I hope it does the same for you. If you’re feeling that little creative nudge but aren’t quite sure what to make yet, this is a playful and freeing exercise to help you find your way back in.
We’re creating with limitations today… and I know that might sound a little counterintuitive. But limitations can be such a gift. They bring clarity, quiet the overwhelm, and take the pressure off. When we remove too many choices, we stop overthinking, discover new possibilities, and allow fresh ideas to gently rise to the surface.
This lesson comes from one of the Art Challenges inside the Mixed Media Insider Membership—and it felt like the perfect way to let you know that the doors are open and ready to welcome new members.
Inside the membership, there are over four years of creative content waiting to inspire and encourage you, including:
-
Monthly themed projects with a creative focus
-
Art challenges designed to grow your skills and confidence
-
A backstage pass into my studio—come peek over my shoulder and see what I’m playing with
-
Monthly live Zoom calls
-
Monthly art chats for encouragement and connection
-
A resource library
-
A huge collage paper library
-
And so much more love-filled creativity
I would absolutely love to have you join our merry little bunch of makers. And to make it even easier, I’m gifting you January’s content completely free inside the preview section—along with several other lessons from the membership—so you can explore and see what’s waiting for you.
Enjoy today’s lesson. Create gently. Follow your curiosity. And I hope to see you inside the membership very soon.
Always remember—you are so loved. 💛
