I can’t wait to share this fun little experiment with you. I stumbled across this technique online somewhere over a year ago (and of course, I can’t remember where 😉), and it stuck with me. So I decided to turn on the camera—just like I do in the Backstage Pass inside the membership—and simply see what would happen.
I played with watercolor on gessoed rice paper, wet-strength tissue paper, and regular mixed media paper… with no big plan, just curiosity.
Some things worked beautifully. Some things didn’t. And honestly, that’s the whole point.
Our creative time is meant for asking “what if?” It’s about letting go of the outcome, loosening our grip on perfection, and giving ourselves permission to just play. Play to learn. Play to grow. And most of all—play to have a little fun along the way.
I hope this encourages you to experiment right alongside me. 😍
