I have been so excited to finally share my journal page and my word for the year with you. Getting to this word took time, soul-searching, and a lot of quiet writing. It holds deep meaning for me in this season of my life, and I can’t wait to invite you into the journey that led me here — both through the page itself and the word that rose to the surface.
As I was creating, I felt a little exposed… like I had laid myself bare on the page. I poured in the things that inspire me, the thoughts on my heart, the words I needed to say — and honestly, I could have kept writing. At one point, I realized I was singing out loud without even noticing. Everything else around me had faded away. I love when that happens… when creating reaches inside you and gently takes over. Those moments are such a gift.
My word for the year is Purposeful.
The definition stopped me in my tracks:
“The reason for which something is done; having determination or resolve. An abiding intention to achieve a long-term goal that is both personally meaningful and makes a mark on you or others.”
And then this little side note:
Purpose brings clarity, direction, and motivation.
So powerful.
More than anything, I want what I do — creatively, personally, physically, and emotionally — to be rooted in purpose. Not perfection… just intention. I want to show up with more meaning, more presence, and more heart in every area of my life. I’m longing for the clarity, direction, and motivation that living purposefully can bring.
Once this word settled in, I started looking both inward and around me, and I knew change was coming. I don’t have every step mapped out yet, but I did make one big decision — one I’ve been holding and praying over for a very long time.
Starting today, my Sunday Inspiration videos will move to every other Sunday.
For the past 12 years, I have created and shared a video every single Sunday. It has been a labor of love… and a lot of work. The only reason I haven’t stepped back sooner is you. The relationships, the friendships, the messages that arrive every week sharing how these videos have helped you heal, find your way back, forgive, reconnect with art, and feel less alone. I’ve written letters, sent prayers, and wrapped so many of you in hugs from afar — and that is exactly why I began doing what I do.
None of that will stop.
This small shift simply allows me to live more purposefully — for my family, my health, and my own creativity — while continuing to show up for you in a way that is sustainable and heartfelt.
I will still be sending my weekly Sunday email filled with inspiration and encouragement, so please be sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss a thing.
This wasn’t an easy decision. But it is one made with intention, clarity… and purpose.
I hope this page and my journey inspire you😍
