We are back with the gouache papers that we created from our experiments last week.

Using collage paper can make things incredibly easy and fast. Especially the papers I used today. They have all my favorite colors, create texture, and let me choose which areas I want to see more of or less of. This page came together in under 30 minutes and was so soothing to create!

Last week I also talked about Rick Rubens’ book, The Creative Act and the chapter about collecting seed.

Every time we try something new, endeavor to make something, experiment with new supplies, we get ideas… we are collectiong seeds.

Our job as creatives is to play and get ideas… or seeds, for what might come next. Any time creating has value, even if what we’ve don’e didn’t turn out the way we planned. It’s all information.

I just love my colorful, grungy journal page and how easily it came together.
