Play Day a new project

So…….. I started a new little project today…. One of the ledgers that I picked up in my travels, I just love. The yummy colors and aged feel of each page makes me happy! So I decided to use it as a journal. I am excited about this! The other thing that I am going to do with this little beauty is broadcast live while creating my miniature work of art on Periscope. You can download the app on your phone. It is only a phone app and it is connected with twitter. So if you have a twitter account your good! just dodwnload the app. My twitter name is @artgirl42. I will be broadcasting on Wednesdays and it will be quick 10 – 15 minutes and if I don’t finish I will post the finished piece on Thursdays. You can always watch the scope for 24 hours after the broadcast.

I hope to see you on the live Broadcasts on Wednesdays. Somewhere around 10 to 10:30.

Ok here is my first project in this beauty. The ledger is 3.5″ x 5″ It’s just so cute! and aged! and yummy!

all the aged pages … make me giddy.

I am going to use up my old stash of stuff to create in this ledger…. I broke out some stamps and old cut out letters. I love it!

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
