Supplies used: vintage postcard or papers, vintage rulers, found feather pic, bird, my background stencil,  Tim holtz number stencils, book pages, matte medium, Liquitex light  blue paint, deco art fluid acrylic quinacridone gold, liquitex burnt umber, black and white paint.

My friend let hope perch in your soul. Let is lift you, let it give you peace, let it bring some calm in the crazy. Hope gives us the strength to take one more step, make one more phone call, create one more video, look at one more email. Hope is the small voice that says it will be worth it, it will be ok. Hope whispers, healing will happen, love will come, forgiveness will come, dreams will be seen.

My friend have hope this holiday season.

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

    Dear Shawn, Thanks so much for all the things you’ve taught me during 2015 via the Artist Gang, I really appreciate you. I’m wishing you all the best for your move, on a personal note I just went through the same changes during this past year. We moved from Mass. to South Carolina and the process took most of the year. It is a little tricky but the key is to trust the process, I’m sure you know that already. Anyway, wishing you all the best. Cyber hugs to you, I really loved this canvas, that bird is wonderful.
