Boy oh boy, did I struggle this week…. in so many ways! This piece was so soulfully inspired and yet so hard to create…. nothing came easy…. and I’m still not sure I like it… but, this is the reality of creating and life.

Oh, Shawn……..a difficult week for me as well…….burying a life-long friend……I just wanted to go “anywhere” that wasn’t “here”………. As you began coloring your sky….tears began to flow, and your beautiful clouds took me to a beautiful, safe place. Jane, so glad you are enjoying the videos, I create on 3/4″ mdf board. I cut them to the size that I need. I get large sheets and then cut them . I do sell them in the shop. Hope this helps.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring piece today and your frustrating week. I have been having a similar frustrating week also. The hymn playing is my favorite hymn, “It is well with my soul”, I love that hymn and the story about the writer and why he wrote it. My creativity has deserted me lately, your sunday inspiration is helping me to get back to my art journals, I need them to nurture myself. The birds flying in your piece brought to mind when Jesus talked about not worrying and trusting God, and how the birds of the air are taken care of by God and they don’t worry. I read this a lot when I am anxious.
