This piece is so yummy good with texture….. It makes me happy! This piece was also inspired by a comment from someone who emailed me, They said that I am a strong person!?! Some days I am and some days I’m not. I really believe that more than strong, I am determined, and willing to take a step, even a small one in the direction of my dreams, toward wholeness, toward love, toward growing…..Then …. strength comes.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday Inspiration Video

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

Shawn, you are, as always, an inspiration, a cheerleader, pure of heart, sincere. The eyes that you painted so beautifully, really show determination; there’s a furrow in her brow, a “spark” of determination in those eyes……..a “seeing” the light at the end of the tunnel…..Thank you for sharing your strength and determination with us…..it is SO appreciated……..Have a wonderful day……and remember that YOU are loved…….<3
