Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and making joyful memories

Holidays can be hard for a lot of people. I can remember when I found myself alone, on another Holiday. I was newly divorced and I shared custody of the kids,… so Holidays were every other one. On one particular Christmas day…. after crying and having a bit of a pity party….. I made a shift… I yelled out loud… I wrote out my intentions for the next holidays…and right then…..I chose to begin new and joyful memories. To build a family … to process the hurt and to heal… I began to build relationships and include others that didn’t have a “family” on the holidays and I have some of the best memories… and deepest relationships because of that shift. My prayer for you today…. that you are surrounded by those who appreciate and care about you…. and if you are not, that you would make a shift… start the healing… and begin to make joyful memories…. this is YOUR life…your journey…. fill it with great things!

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
