“I’m Here”
By creative team member Julie Campbell
This tutorial is all about texture and layering. I love to collage and I wanted to enhance my collage work with marks and paint. I wanted to create a background that looked time worn and vintage, a bit like old peeling wallpaper and paint that has been rubbed back but won’t come off!. The girl could be in an old room or outside in nature. She could be in a dream landscape. The girl is simple to put together. Especially if you are not confident with drawing faces or bodies. I wanted her dress to be part of the story too, to have a history. I added the little bird to enhance the story and create a relationship.
