Pan pastels and winter cardinal

This piece has such rich colors and yummy texture and yet so easy to create. Love using Pan pastels to create softness and deep color.

This was inspired by conversations I’ve had this last week with a few that are feeling the pressure and aloneness of the holidays.

I hope you enjoy the video and the story I share about finding peace during the holiday season.

Supplies used: 8×10 mdf board, gesso, vintage papers, scrapbook papers, charcoal pencil

Arteza paints (sky blue, cerelean blue, yellow ochre, raw umber, mars black, yellow green, chromium oxide green, prussion green, titanium white, quin magenta, quin red)

Pan pastels, deep violet, violet, raw umber, ultra marine blue

Stencils used: doodle circles, pine cones, trees 2
