This was a fun and quick project… I took a risk and went with the orange butterfly and orange in the background. It’s not my normal color to go to, but it added to the inspiration of the piece.
I love the background with the stenciled areas that are blended with gesso and a grungy wash.
And my gears and clock stencil was perfect for this piece again to add to the story.
I was inspired to create this by a couple of emails that I received from friends and followers that are struggling with fear. Fear so bad that it has frozen them in their tracks.
I have so much empathy because I work from a place of fear every day. I’ve just learned to do “the thing” whatever that is afraid.
And here’s a secret….. everyone is afraid, the most successful or put together people are afraid of something!
I’ll share more about it in the video… enjoy!

“I was always afraid of painting faces”… does this sound familiar?
Have you struggled with structure, size or shading a face? Or maybe you haven’t even attempted a face because is just seems too complicated or scary.
I feel your pain! You should see the faces I’ve done… yikes!
But after years of practice, I came up with a sure-fire way to get a great face every time!
And I want to share that with you to save you all the trouble and frustration I went through.

Let me tell you a little more about the workshop and what you can expect.
I believe in practice because when we practice, we can approach the actual project with confidence. And you’ll be familiar with what we’re doing so you’ll be able to put your project together seamlessly.
