Originally I was inspired by “gates of praise” in Isaiah 60. When I saw Shawn’s Bricks and Bubbles Stencil I thought of a brick garden wall with a beautiful wrought iron gate. I then looked up “gates” in scripture and saw where Isaiah 62 talks about going through the gate. Doors also have a lot of symbolism for me. This is about walking through those gates without fear. Since I love to reuse things to create, the substrate I used was an old thick clip board that was chip board covered with plastic. I just removed the old plastic and covered it in gesso.

I assumed it was yours since I was watching one of your videos.
I guess it was in Shawn’s shop I bought the pillows.
Loved your behind the gate tutorial.
