In today’s Sunday inspiration I use gold leaf and a gelli plate to bring the meaning and life to this piece. I step out of my comfort zone a bit to capture a moment that inspired me to my bones.

I couldn’t wait to get started on this project after getting home from a recent quick weekend trip.

I also can’t wait to share this story with you and how finding inspiration can seem elusive, but if we are present and really look, we can find it.

Supplies used: 16×20 birch wood panel, Deco art media fluid acrylic, Americana glazing medium, Chalky gesso, Deco art media heavy gloss gel, Gold leaf, glue stick, 5×7 gelli plate, brayer, archival ink pad, make up brush, china marker, charcoal pencil,

Stencils used: numbers 2, doodle minis masks, splatters, vintage cross

    Wow what a wonderful experience!!!!!! What a gorgeous piece of artwork to represent that!!!! Sounds like something one should experience at least once in a lifetime!!! Always love the dark inkiness of purssian along with all the other colors and the gold leaf. So stunning!!!!! Thanks for the inspiration love seeing the process.
