When was the last time you just played? Whether it was in your creative practice or life?
When you had no expectations of how things would turn out. When you didn’t have a plan for the day or your artwork or your journal.
When you just played, read, rested and embraced the surprises.
It’s one of the hardest things for me to do, because I’m a planner, a worker and when I don’t have a task list I feel a little lost.
But feeling a little lost is ok, in fact, it’s needed to create space for dreaming, creating, making mistakes and just being.
Today’s Sunday inspiration is all about PLAY! This piece is so different for me and the words and the title are “Let life surprise you”
It takes courage to embrace the surprises and go with it. In life and our creative time. I used no background papers, created on 100lb Bristol paper forgot a few things, stumbled through and was pleasantly surprised at what fun this was and how it turned out.
Share in the video all about the process and my thoughts on letting go and having no expectations.
