Flowers in the spring are so amazing. They make me happy and bring life and joy into the everyday. I love to create art with florals and this piece was so much fun to create. Using Shawn’s stencils makes art so much easier to create. I use my stencils all the time and really enjoy them.
This week’s project combines a canvas that I created a background on months ago. I decided to repurpose it into this week’s project. Creating backgrounds is a great way to practice and stretch your creativity and I do it often. I put them aside but always go back to them and finish them up into beautiful pieces.
For this piece, I used Shawn’s Lace, Farmhouse Pitcher, Lavender, and In the Garden stencils. I have a nice stash of Shawn’s stencils now and I go to them often and mix them up together to create my art.
Repurposed 9”x12” canvas, Liquitex White Gesso, General’s Peel & Sketch Black Charcoal Pencil, Sennelier Oil Pastels White, Pink, and Black, Mod Podge Matte, Butterfly Cut-out, Pilot G-2 Black Ball Point Pen, Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen, Staz-On Teal Blue Permanent Ink, Tissue Paper for the quote, Liquitex Basics Acrylics: Brilliant Purple, Prism Violet, Light Portrait Pink, Light Green Permanent, Titanium White, Golden Fluid Acrylics: Green Gold, Chromium Oxide Green, Artist Loft Acrylic Paint Burnt Umber
