Due to the terrible incidents to late, I needed to express my feelings in a piece of art. Racism is not only a problem in the USA, it is a worldwide issue!

It makes me sad how people treat each other and I would wish, there was more kindness, gentleness, and Love in the world!

Enjoy the Video!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

Love is the answer, however, it is the type of love that is at the heart of all these issues. In general, racism stems from a lack of Christlike love. He taught that agape’ love, or self sacrificing love, was needed. The world in general, doesn’t have this. He sacrificed his life for all humanity, yet humanity is pretty clueless as to what he and his Father actually require of us, to show him our love for him and his Father. If you would like to know more about this, you can email me personally, or go to jw.org for more info.
