I got lost in this piece. It’s titled Your Truth and I can’t wait to tell you about the meaning and inspiration behind this. Each line, color, x’s, and dash marks mean something.
And all the layers and layers of paper represent my truth….
I’ll tell you all about it in the video.
I use a new collage pack in the shop titled “Blueprints” which went perfectly with the meaning. I even printed a couple of pages on tissue paper.
Then I dug through my many, many baskets of collage bits to find just the “right” paper to tell the story.
I hope you enjoy the project!

Free live workshop!

The classroom is now open and you can sign up for this FREE workshop! There will be a supplies list, downloads, and videos of supplies overview, how to use the supplies, and how you will create the first layer of the background.
Then when we’re live together on Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 AM EST we’ll create the rest of the piece together!
We’ll be live inside a Zoom classroom where we can chat and I can answer questions.
If you can’t make the live Zoom there will be a replay in the classroom.
I hope to see you in the classroom and in the live Zoom!

Where to start?!?! Such a beautiful piece of art. Love your abstracts, but the message today blew me away. Thanks always for your inspiration.
This was such an inspiring piece and talk afterwards. Idk if you remember my last blog post 2 weeks ago but finding your truth is so important. Part of what you said reminded me of positive self talk vs negative self talk. And finding your truth in a positive way is so important but can be so difficult, hence the negative vs positive self talk. I am inspired. I have the picture of the woman with the long dress. I watched your video and now after this one. I just have to create something. I want to put my truth on her dress. Use certain words that are my truth.
I get lost in my art all the time lol I will look at the clock and be like “wow” where did the time go!
Again great piece and great talk!
Caroline,
Thanks so much and yes it is like positive and negative self-talk. I know that the negative talk seems to find its way in much easier than the positive, which is why it’s an everyday practice to talk with love to ourselves! I love the idea of putting your truth on her dress! So glad you are here and creating with me! Have a great week.
I absolutely love it!
To me abstract means:
It’s nothing and everything 😀 all rolled up into one beautiful piece of art.
Your my inspiration!!
Tina, I love that explanation! Thanks so much for being here!
