This was so simple and so relaxing.
I gathered lots of yummy papers from my stash and some papers that I created on rice paper and my gel plate.
I added a little texture and some yummy grunge and I fell in love with this piece.
I was once again inspired by Walt Whitman. I’ve been reading through the book – Meditations of Walt Whitman “Earth, My Likeness”
Every time I pick it up, which is about every day…. I feel this calmness come over me. His beautiful words and appreciation of all the things around him and within him inspire me.
His gratitude for the smallest things, gives me pause every day to just breathe.
The quote on this piece is actually a typo… The title of the poem I was reading was formed from the soil, not the soul.
But as always it was perfect and Divine because I do believe that I was formed from the soul of my creator. So it stayed and stayed with me all week!
I hope you enjoy the project. It’s simple yet perfect. I’m trying to do less in the next few weeks to rest and catch up and focus on some other projects… like new workshops!!

Beautiful! Question: seems like you use lots of water/liquid on your pieces. How do you avoid bubbling and wrinkling in the background papers? Thanks!
Thanks Lorie, When I put my papers down I use flluid matte medium or matte gel. which seals them and make it a nonporous surface to create on. Thanks for being here!
