A relaxing time in my journal, trying some new things and letting the quiet nurture my soul.
Some days we just need to go easy on ourselves. I had a whole lot of ideas for today’s Sunday inspiration and things I wanted to talk about. But I was stressing myself out.
I had just put the finishing touches on a new workshop, launched another workshop, and I was pooped! So as I was preparing…. I literally said out loud to myself…. “Shawn, just go easy on yourself… just play and let it be what it is.”
Sometimes that’s exactly what we need to say to ourselves…. we (I), need to give ourselves a break, a breather, and just enjoy a quiet time of play.
So… that’s just what I did! I tried a few new products… pushed paint around, tore up papers, and did my favorite and most relaxing things for this journal page.
Give yourself a break from perfectionism, give yourself a break from self-doubt, give yourself a break from guilt, shame, overworking….. you put in the words that you need to go on easy on yourself with. Just play today in the peaceful quiet or the blaring music–whatever floats your boat.
I hope you enjoy the project and always know that you are loved!
