More Joy with wet strength tissue and abstract floral 9-3-23

I did a lot of experimenting with wet strength tissue paper this last week. I did two videos on Youtube showing you my process.

Anyway, I had so much fun just playing, knee deep in all kinds of papers. I gave me so much joy, which is why I titles this piece “More Joy”.

Today I incorporated some of those papers into this project and let this piece just flow. It was super simple and I can’t wait to share it with you and I hope you enjoy the process.

Supplies used:

  1. 12×12 wood panel
  2. Liquitex matte medium/ matte gel
  3. Liquitex matte varnish
  4. Acrylic matte paint – quin agents, prism violet, burnt sienna, unbleached titanium, titan buff
  5. Grumbacker raw umber acrylic
  6. Stabilo all pencil, Generals charcoal pencil ex. soft, Black soft pastel
  7. Palette knife and brayer

I used wet strength tissue (which is not available right now) The background paper was created on Toddy coffee filters (strength and transparent.
