Today I’m doing something a little different. I get asked all the time how to go from your journal to the canvas.

So I’m sharing a lesson that I was originally going to do just for the Mixed Media Insider members. I’ll let you know some steps to go bigger, things to think about when you do. And encouragement to take the leap.

I will be instructing you step by step as I take last week’s journal page (which I fell in love with) and create a 24×24 piece from that journal page.

I hope that this will inspire you to be brave and I also want to remind you that you can take baby steps to going bigger. I’ll share all of that with you in the video.

Supplies used:

• 24×24 wood panel
• Liquitex fluid matte medium
• Liquitex gesso – white and black
• Grumbacher acrylic – burnt sienna, raw umber
• Acrylic paint – Deep violet, dark teal, prism violet, burnt sienna, olive green unbleached titanium, raw sienna
• Brayer, 2″ flat brush, 1″ flat brush, brush set
• Neocolor 2
• Generals charcoal pencil, Stabilo all pencil
• Black soft pastel pencil and stick
