As I was doing my journaling and morning pages this week, I opened up Jessica Swift’s book “Radiant Rainbows” and opened the book to the page titled Possibility.
I was also in the process of deciding what to do for today’s Sunday Inspiration and have some fun ideas about florals and continue my exploration of unconventional ways to create florals. I second-guessed myself and thought I should do something a little more safe and easy.
But that’s when I opened the book and Jessica’s message about possibility goes like this.
“May your imagination be powerfully alive. May the beliefs that hold you back fade into the background and disappear completely. You are the chooser. The decider. May you believe the best. Choose the best. May “I can do this” be your most potent prayer.”
I know for me there are always these tiny voices in my head that say, you can’t, or that’s too crazy of an idea, or you’re not good enough. But just like Jessica said…. WE are the the chooser of our lives. WE are the decider. This applies to our art and our lives.
So I decided to do the floral that I felt unsure about. There were points in this piece that I thought, “oh this is not going well” But I kept going, I kept shooshing the voices and I’m so glad that I did because I love it!
I’ll share more about my process and the meaning in the video. Have fun watching and always know that you are loved!
